Start with your business

Banking that fits how you operate.

01

Your company

Explain what the business does, who owns it and who will operate the account.

02

Your transactions

Map expected incoming and outgoing payments, key currencies, countries and approximate volumes.

03

Your priorities

Consider account charges, minimum balances, payment tools and foreign-currency needs before choosing an account.

Document preparation

Make your business easy to understand.

  • Company registration documents and constitution, as requested by the bank.
  • Ownership structure, beneficial owner information and authorised signatory details.
  • Identity and address evidence through the bank’s accepted verification process.
  • Board resolutions or account mandates where required.
  • Business evidence such as contracts, invoices or a business plan, together with expected payment flows and source-of-funds information.
This is a preparation guide, not a universal bank checklist. The bank determines its own due-diligence requirements, approval decision, processing time and account terms. We do not guarantee account opening or represent a bank partnership.

Useful answers

Before you choose an account.

Can foreign-owned companies apply?

Banks assess foreign-owned companies according to their own criteria and due-diligence processes. Some simplified online routes are limited to particular ownership profiles; discuss the appropriate route with the chosen bank.

Will the directors need to attend a meeting?

Identity verification and interview arrangements depend on the bank, ownership structure and application. Do not assume every application can be completed remotely.

How long does approval take?

The bank controls the review. Incomplete records or additional checks can extend the process. Agree preparation timelines separately from the bank’s decision timeline.

Are bank fees included in your service fee?

Ask for a written quotation. Bank charges, minimum balances and transaction fees are separate from professional preparation or coordination fees unless expressly included.

Can you help us compare account options?

Begin with the currencies, payment destinations, transaction volumes and tools your business needs. Compare the current terms directly with each bank before making a decision.

What if the bank asks for more business evidence?

Provide genuine records explaining your activities and expected transactions. We can discuss organising a clear response, but the bank determines what evidence is sufficient.

Can you guarantee approval or a particular account?

No. Each bank independently evaluates the company and the people involved. Displaying a bank’s logo does not imply a partnership, endorsement or guaranteed access.

Can a newly incorporated business enquire?

Yes. Explain the intended activity, ownership and expected payment flows. Ask the bank which evidence it accepts for a new business without a long operating history.
