Useful answers

Before you apply.

Does meeting the minimum salary guarantee approval?

No. Salary is only part of the assessment. EP applicants may need to pass COMPASS, and S Pass employers need quota availability. MOM makes the final decision.

Can you support renewals?

Enquire about renewal preparation and administrative support. Eligibility must be checked against the rules applicable to the pass expiry and renewal dates.

Can a work pass holder bring family members?

Eligible EP and S Pass holders may sponsor a Dependant’s Pass for qualifying family members. See our combined Dependant’s Pass and LOC page.

What should I prepare?

Start with the job description, fixed monthly salary, employer details, passport particulars and relevant qualification or employment records. The exact checklist depends on the case; send sensitive documents only through an agreed channel.

Which route should we review first?

Start with the actual role, responsibilities, candidate profile and salary package. Review the Employment Pass and S Pass requirements against that information rather than choosing a pass only because one route appears easier.

Can we confirm a start date before the outcome?

Treat the date as provisional until the relevant approval and issuance requirements are met. Allow for candidate notice periods and any additional information requested during assessment.

What if the application needs more information?

Review the request carefully and prepare accurate, relevant records. Tell us about any changes in the candidate’s or employer’s circumstances so the response remains consistent.

Can you help if we have already found the candidate?

Yes, enquire about application support separately from recruitment. Confirm the required authorisation, document scope and fees before proceeding.
